Site Technical Manager

£40,000 - £45,000 plus package

Our client are a leading food manufacturer who are now recruiting a Technical Manager to manage and develop the existing Quality Assurance team and the site technical requirements.

As the Technical Manager you will be responsible for the following areas

·Delivering accurate, timely assessment of raw material through the technical systems.

·Manage site compliance to technical standards set out by BRC and customers.

·Ensure the quality of finished goods is within agreed specification and waste is minimised.

·Support and provide the Technical, Operations and Supply Chain functions with essential business information.

·Ensure H&S standards are adhered to whilst complying with the company H&S policies by measuring through accident and near miss statistics through the in-house tracking system.

·Ensure that all quality and technical required standards are clearly defined, communicated and monitored, through daily audits and scores tracked.As part of the management team you will be responsible for regular site walks, customer visits and audits.

·All raw material products must meet agreed quality standards and reduces waste at all times by investigating all customer rejections and complaints.

·Manage and maintain technical systems required to support the site and business ensuring there are no system failures resulting in non-conformances.

·Close management of your team, ensuring that all staff member have regular, effective 1 to 1’s, appraisals and development plans put in place.

The successful person will have the following skills set and attributes

·Significant Experience in Quality or Technical Management (or equivalent discipline)

·Food Safety Level 2

·HACCP Level 2 or higher

·Food Safety Level 3 or higher

·Fresh Produce experience
